Between the end of April and the beginning of May, the program of manifestations presents the " Copper Fair " antique and engraved, included in a colourful shaw of flowers and plants. Piazza Signorelli is the right place for the first event of the turistic season of Cortona. May is dedicated to historical medieval events which remember the marriage between
Sir Francesco Casali of Cortona and the noble Antonia Salimbeni of Siena, which took place in 1396. The manifestations, realised in historical costumes, with processions, recitals ,and choirs of the year three hundred, finish on the last Sunday of May with the five districts of the city whith cross bowing in the historical "Giostra dell'Archidado".
In July the city administration and the diocese of Cortona present the " Festival of the Sacred Music", which has reached its third edition, directed by the Composer Monsignor Marco Frisina.
In August, a kermess of classic music, literary and artistic exhibitions of the "Tuscan Sun Festival"; while, between the end of August and the first decade of September, there is one of the most famous antique fairy " Cortonantiquaria". From November until March there is a theatrical review at the Signorelli Theatre ; during this period classical music concerts are showing.
